These Terms govern your use of In Case, operated by Ardenholt LLC ("we", "us"). By using In Case, you agree to these Terms.
The service
In Case is software we provide as-is: a guided, on-device organizer for family information. We will work hard to keep it useful, but we offer no warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, except where required by law.
Not legal, financial, or medical advice
In Case provides organization, education, checklists, and templates — not legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney-client relationship. Documents you assemble in In Case (such as a letter of instruction or emergency sheet) are informal aids, not substitutes for a will, trust, power of attorney, or other legal instruments. Laws about estates and digital assets vary by state; review anything consequential with a licensed attorney in your state.
Your vault, your responsibility
Your vault lives on your device, protected by your device passcode and biometrics; we hold no copy (see Privacy). That design means you are responsible for your device security, your backups and exports, and for deciding who can access your vault and its printed or exported copies. We cannot recover a vault from a lost, wiped, or inaccessible device.
Acceptable use
- Don't use In Case to harm others or store data you have no right to hold.
- Don't attempt to break, probe, or reverse-engineer the service except as permitted by law.
Payments & refunds
In Case is a one-time purchase of $59 for lifetime access, charged via Stripe; the price is shown before checkout. There is no subscription and no auto-renewal — we never bill you again. One-time purchases are non-refundable after 14 days, except where required by law.
Termination
You can stop using In Case at any time; your vault is yours to export or delete on-device. We may suspend website services (like the waitlist) if we reasonably believe these Terms are being violated, with notice where feasible.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim arising from your use of In Case is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or $59, whichever is greater.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA. Disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in that state.
Changes
If these Terms change materially, we'll update this page and the effective date. Continued use after changes means acceptance.
